Our Large Pond Aeration systems provide significant amounts of aeration for larger ponds and small lakes. Oxygenation of larger ponds becomes more critical to sustain healthy fish and plant life. Additionally, our systems are very effective in keeping a larger amount of water moving and in transferring oxygen into the pond.

One of the best ways to improve the health of a large pond is through diffused aeration. Adding oxygen to water is what aeration is all about. Maintaining a healthy level of dissolved oxygen in your small pond is very important. Mother nature can provide some amount of dissolved oxygen through rain and wind, but often not enough to aid to keep a larger pond healthy.

When we add oxygen to a pond through a diffused aerator at the bottom of the pond, it aids in the breakdown of decaying vegetation and other sources of nutrients that enter your pond. A positive type of decay we want to occur is known as aerobic decomposition. Aerobic type decomposition facilitates increased levels of decomposition (because of the addition of oxygen through aeration), which in turn decreases the level of nutrients that can increase algae blooms, harm fish and create foul smells.
